Soft Flap Crossbody Bag

A deliberately unstructured bag: the body has no boards in it, so it slumps against the hip and holds more than its size suggests. The flap is a single rounded piece with a magnetic close, the strap is flat and long enough to wear either on the shoulder or across the body, and the only decoration is a line of small gold lettering printed on the flap. Inside there is one zip pocket for a phone or cards; there is no divider and no second pocket. Seven colours are filed and the frames show the main four — black, white, khaki and brown — while pink, coffee and olive are quoted on request from the same table. Why we chose it

Because it is the cheapest useful shape in the chip, and a shop that wants one entry-level crossbody can take it in four colours without tying up much cash.

Care

• Keep the body unstacked — the softness that makes it hold more also keeps a fold.
• Wipe with a dry cloth; solvents lift the matte finish.
• Support the base when it is full, so the flap does not carry the weight.
