Coiled Bracelet Watch
Coiled Bracelet Watch
The bracelet is the watch: a tight spring coil, almost a centimetre of wire wound into a cuff, with a small oval case set into one turn and the dial turned to sit on top of the wrist. It is a shape from the seventies that the trade has never quite retired, because it needs no clasp, adjusts to the wrist by sliding, and looks like jewellery from across a room. Twenty-four colour combinations are filed across gold, silver, black and rose-gold tones, with black, green, blue, white, red and pink dials among them, so the range runs from a quiet silver-and-white to a rose-gold case with a red face. What this listing does not give is measurements: the maker files the movement, the dial diameter, the case thickness, the crown type and even the item number as a single word meaning other, so this page quotes no case size and no calibre rather than inventing them. Water resistance is filed at fifty metres, which is the only figure on the sheet that is a figure — the case back is plain and no test note accompanies it, so treat fifty metres as the maker’s claim, not a diving rating. (Case diameter, coil circumference and calibre: TO BE CONFIRMED with the maker — ask before a wholesale order.)

- Material: Quartz movement; coiled spring bracelet in a gold, silver, black or rose-gold tone; quartz glass crystal
The coil is the fitting
A spring coil needs no clasp and no buckle: it slides over the hand and holds by tension, which is why this shape survived from the discotheque into the resale market. It also means the fit is fixed by the coil, and a coil that is too tight leaves a mark while one that is too loose turns on the wrist. Since no circumference is published, that is the first question to put to the maker on any order larger than a sample.
A thin sheet, stated as thin
Most of the attribute table says other, and the honest way to publish a product like that is to say which numbers are missing rather than to estimate them. A buyer who knows the dial is an oval and the tone is one of four can price and photograph it. A buyer told a made-up diameter cannot.
Why we chose it
Because the shape does the selling and the coil replaces the clasp, which is one less thing to break — and because the maker’s thin spec sheet is published as thin rather than padded.
Care
- Slide it on and off rather than pulling the coil open, so the spring keeps its tension; a stretched coil will not grip.
- Keep it dry — the fifty-metre figure is a claim without a test note, and a coil bracelet holds water against the case.
- Store it coiled as worn, away from other jewellery, so the plating is not rubbed on a chain or a clasp.
