Ruched Cloud Shoulder Bag

A bag built on a ruche: the face is gathered into a pillow and held by a centre buckle plate, with two smaller buckles at the corners doing nothing but the same job visually. It is PU, the finish is a soft sheen rather than a gloss, and the colour is a pale pink — the maker files it as 云朵, cloud, which is what the gathering is meant to look like. A zip closes the top and the strap is fixed, not adjustable. No dimensions or lining are published.

Why we chose it

Because it is the piece that makes a rail look current: one ruched shape in a pale colour beside the suede and the chocolate, and the whole batch dates to this season rather than to last.

Care

• Wipe with a soft dry cloth. A crease in the ruche can be warmed out with a fingertip, not an iron.
• Keep it away from ballpoint ink and newsprint; PU takes both and keeps them.
• Store it lightly filled so the ruche holds its pillow.
