Mini Vintage Round Watch
Mini Vintage Round Watch
A round case twenty-three millimetres across and eight thick, which is the size a women’s watch was in the fifties and roughly half the size of a modern fashion piece. Two bracelet families are filed: a narrow leather strap in black, coffee, white or red with a pin buckle, and a fine steel mesh in silver or gold tone. The crystal is mineral-hardened glass, the case back is plain, and the movement is quartz; the movement rows give a phrase and the word domestic rather than a maker or a calibre, so none is claimed. There is no water-resistance row anywhere in the listing, so this page claims none: it is a watch to put on dry and to take off before the sink. The dial carries the maker’s own name in a small vintage face — the same stall will print a buyer’s logo, though it does not customise anything else. (Strap length and mesh length: TO BE CONFIRMED with the maker.)
- Colour: Black · coffee · white · red leather strap, or silver-tone or gold-tone mesh
- Sizes: Dial 23 mm across
- Material: Quartz movement (maker not named); mineral-hardened glass; stainless-steel pin buckle or mesh bracelet
Small is the trend
The oversized watch is over. What sells next to a stack of bracelets is a twenty-millimetre case that reads as jewellery, and this is that case at a price that lets a buyer stock three colourways instead of one. The two bracelet families also do the merchandising work for free: leather for the autumn order, mesh for the spring one.
What it is not
No water rating is filed, so it is not a watch for a swimmer, a shower or a dishwasher, and saying so costs one line and saves a return. The movement is quartz with no named maker, which is normal at this price and worth writing into the quote rather than leaving a buyer to discover it.
Why we chose it
Because a twenty-three millimetre vintage case is the piece that sells beside a bracelet stack, and because the listing files no water rating — so this page promises none.
Care
- No water-resistance figure is filed: keep it away from water entirely, including washing up.
- Wipe the crystal with a dry microfibre cloth; leather straps should be kept off perfume and out of direct sun.
- Change the battery at a jeweller rather than prying the plain case back yourself.
