Colour

Linen is the oldest cloth people still wear on purpose, and it behaves the way it always has: it moves air, it dries fast, it creases the moment you sit down, and it gets softer every time it is washed. This shirt is cut for that — loose through the body, short enough to sit near the hip, with a soft collar that rolls rather than stands, and three-quarter sleeves that stop below the elbow at a two-button cuff. The white is sheer; the stall says so on its own photographs, and the note is repeated here in English rather than left as Chinese text on a picture. Natural flax is the colour the fibre comes in before anyone dyes it.

Linen in both fields

This market usually tells you a fabric is 棉麻 in a title and nothing more. Here the attribute table names 亚麻 as the main fibre and 亚麻 again as the fabric name, and the page repeats the word thirty-five times. That is not proof of a percentage, and none is claimed — but it is a listing willing to be read rather than admired.

Three-quarter sleeves

The sleeve stops below the elbow and finishes in a tab with two buttons, so it can sit snug or be worn open over the forearm. It is cut wide through the upper arm, which is what keeps a loose shirt from pulling across the back when you reach forward.

The white is sheer, and the stall says so itself

On its own photographs of the white shirt the stall prints 微透,介意请慎拍 — “slightly sheer, consider before buying”. We took that note off the pictures we publish, because a Chinese warning is no use to you, and put it here instead: in white, this cloth shows what is under it. The natural flax colour does not.

Care

  • Wash it cool and gently, with like colours, and never wring it. Linen fibre breaks where it is twisted wet.
  • Dry it flat or on a line in the shade. It will dry stiff and then soften as you move in it — that is the cloth, not a fault.
  • Iron it damp on the reverse if you want it flat. Linen ironed bone dry goes shiny, and the shine does not come out.

Why we chose it

Because linen is the one fibre this market usually reduces to a phrase in a title, and this listing files it in both attribute fields — and because the stall admitted on its own photographs that the white is sheer rather than letting a buyer find out.

One piece is fine. Buy a single piece at the price shown, or ask for a trade quote from ten units — written by a person, never read off a table.
