Cropped Top and Culotte Set

What the listing calls it, and what it is

The title files this as a waistcoat and a pleated skort. The photographs show a cropped tee with wide sleeves and a wide culotte with no pleat in it, and the neck is a boat neck rather than the V the sheet files. Buy a sample against the photographs, not the title.

The elastic waist is the size range

There is no zip and no button anywhere in the trouser — the shirred waistband is the whole fit system. That is why the set runs S to XXL with one pattern, and it is also the part to test on a sample: a shirred waist that recovers well is the difference between a set that survives a season and one that bags out by the third wash.

Care

• Hand wash or a cold machine cycle, then hang the culottes by the waistband so the shirring keeps its stretch.
