Contrast-Collar Wool-Blend Jacket
Contrast-Collar Wool-Blend Jacket
This is the jacket for the days a coat is too much and a cardigan is too little: short, boxy, finishing at the high hip, cut in a soft brushed cloth with a black collar and a band of the same black running down the front edge and around both patch pockets. The buttons are domed, gold-rimmed and pearl-centred, and they close through bound buttonholes rather than a placket. There is no lining — the edges are bound instead, which is why the same cloth had to be good on both faces. What the page calls the material is where the honesty has to start: the title says 双面羊绒, double-faced cashmere, and the attribute data on that very page says 羊毛 at fifty to seventy per cent. We print the table, name it as the stall’s own figure, and leave the word cashmere where we found it. Two colours, two sizes, and the sizes are given only by body weight, so the measurements below stay open rather than guessed at.
The title says cashmere. The table says wool.
Both are on the same page. 反季小香风双面羊绒大衣 reads the title; 主面料成分 羊毛, 主面料成分含量 50%(含)-70%(不含) reads the attribute data the stall itself filled in. Cashmere at this price does not exist, and a table with three filled fields beats a title with two adjectives, so the number we repeat is the table’s.
Bound, not lined
Look at the front edge and the pocket edges: they are wrapped in the contrast band rather than turned under a lining, and the back panel is the plain cloth with no seam for a lining to hang from. That is what 双面呢 means in practice — two faces joined and finished by hand, so there is nothing to hide a cheap reverse side behind. It is also why the jacket keeps its shape without a shoulder pad.
Two colours, two sizes, no numbers
The stall sells this in grey and off-white, and in S and M — defined only as 45–60 kg and 60–68 kg. It photographs the off-white from the back and the grey only from the front, so we say that rather than describe a back we have not seen in that colour. Chest, sleeve and length are left as DETAILS TO BE CONFIRMED.
Details
- Colour: Grey · Off-white
- Size: S · M, as the stall lists them — S for 45–60 kg, M for 60–68 kg. Chest, sleeve and length DETAILS TO BE CONFIRMED
- Material: Wool — the stall’s own attribute data reads 主面料成分 羊毛 at 50%(含)-70%(不含), so between half and seventy per cent. The balance of the composition is DETAILS TO BE CONFIRMED. The same listing’s title calls this cloth 羊绒, which the attribute table does not support
- Fit: Short and boxy, finishing at the high hip, with a contrast collar, a contrast band down the front edge and the same band around each patch pocket
Care
- Brush the cloth rather than washing it; a soft clothes brush lifts the nap and takes the dust with it.
- When it needs more than that, dry clean it whole. The black collar and binding are a different cloth from the body and will bleed if the jacket is spot-cleaned.
- Hang it on a shaped hanger. The shoulders have no padding, so a wire hanger will leave a mark within a week.
Why we chose it
Because the dressing is in the making — a contrast collar, bound edges and no lining to hide behind — and because the stall printed a fibre figure of its own, fifty to seventy per cent wool, that quietly contradicts the cashmere in its own title.
