The whole idea of this sweater is at the neck. A short placket with three real buttons sits over a cream layer that looks like a shirt collar showing above a knit — except nothing is layered: both are knitted into the same garment, which is what this market calls 假两件, a false two-piece. The rest is deliberately plain, a straight body with ribbed cuffs and hem in a soft, dry knit. The wool and cashmere figures come from the stall rather than from a laboratory: the listing gives 8% cashmere and 92% wool, and its own photographs carry a card repeating the same two numbers next to the words 不可水洗. No attribute table, no test report — so both figures are quoted with their source and nothing more is built on them. Three colours are listed and all three were photographed, along with the back and two close views.

A second layer that is not a second layer

The cream collar at the neck looks like a shirt worn under a sweater, and the buttons look like they close it. They do not. The layer and the sweater are one piece of knitting, joined where the placket begins — which is why the neckline sits flat instead of bunching, and why you get the look of two garments and the weight of one.

Eight and ninety-two

The listing gives 8% cashmere and 92% wool, and the stall prints the same two figures on a card inside its own photographs, together with 不可水洗. Two places, one set of numbers — but no attribute table and no test report, so this is the stall speaking, and that is how we repeat it. What the second yarn in the neckline is made of is not stated at all.

Do not wash it — the stall says so

不可水洗 is printed on the stall’s card, and for an untreated wool knit it is the right advice: water felts the fibres and the garment comes back two sizes smaller with the surface gone matte. Air it between wearings, clean it dry, and lay it flat if it ever gets damp.

Details

  • Colour: Charcoal · Rust · Black
  • Size: M · L · XL · 2XL · 3XL, sized by body weight as the stall lists it — M 45–55 kg, L 55–68 kg, XL 68–75 kg, 2XL 75–83 kg, 3XL 83–93 kg. The stall also prints 105 to 125 beside those sizes, which reads as a chest measurement in centimetres but is nowhere labelled as one. Chest, sleeve and length DETAILS TO BE CONFIRMED
  • Material: Wool and cashmere — the listing gives 8% cashmere and 92% wool, the same two figures the stall prints on a card in its own photographs. There is no attribute table and no test report behind them, so the numbers are quoted as the stall’s. The contrasting layer at the neckline is knitted from a second yarn whose composition is not given: DETAILS TO BE CONFIRMED
  • Fit: Straight through the body with a short button placket at the neck, ribbed cuffs and hem, and a contrasting layer knitted into the neckline so the garment reads as two pieces without being two

Care

  • Do not wash it. The stall prints 不可水洗 on its own card, and an untreated wool and cashmere knit will felt and shrink in water.
  • Air it instead, and lift marks with a damp cloth. A day on a hanger in moving air is usually all it needs between wearings.
  • Dry clean it when it is genuinely dirty, and dry it flat rather than hanging if it ever gets wet — a damp wool knit stretches under its own weight.

Why we chose it

Because the neckline is a piece of knitting pretending to be two garments, done well enough to fool the eye at a glance — and because the stall published a composition instead of an adjective, even if the composition is only its own word.

One piece is fine. Buy a single piece at the price shown, or ask for a trade quote from ten units — written by a person, never read off a table.
